A few days after presenting his credentials, H.E. Mr. Rajesh Sachdeva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India in Sofia, visited the BCCI and talked with President Tsvetan Simeonov. They exchanged ideas for future joint actions in the economic sphere.
The guest was introduced to the relations of the Chamber with similar organisations in India – the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry / FICCI / and the Confederation of Indian Industry / CII /. It was agreed that a meeting with Indian companies in Bulgaria will be realized in 2015. The visit will cover companies from both the countries who are interested in fields such as information technologies, agriculture, energy, food and other industries.
Ambassador Sachdeva said the Embassy is planning information and promotional events for the Bulgarian business to a thorough understanding of the opportunities offered by the huge Indian market. Cooperation was agreed in finding business partners, both from Bulgaria and India, upon specific requests.
