The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov welcomed a business delegation from Vietnam headed by Nguyen Duc Lien, Chairman of “Vietmedicare JSC” and member of the Vietnam – Bulgaria Friendship Association, and Doan The Hung, Vice General Director of Field Crops Research Institute. The representative of BCCI in Vietnam Ivan Kashukeev also took part in the meeting.

The possibility to organize a Bulgarian business delegation to participate in the “Bulgarian Rose Festival” in Hanoi in 2018 was discussed, in view of the extremely successful first edition of the festival which took place on 3 March this year and was organized in cooperation by the Hanoi authorities and the Bulgarian Embassy in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The event was attended by more than 20 000 visitors.

Mr. Lien informed about Vietnam’s great interest in Bulgarian roses and rose products, stressing that the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries continue to develop in a positive direction and the interest in economic cooperation is growing.

In this regard, the opportunity was discussed for Bulgarian companies to place exhibition stands during the next “Bulgarian Rose Festival” in Hanoi, which will not be limited to rose products only but will represent other sectors of interest such as cosmetics, wine, and foodstuff.
