The Ambassador of Hungary visited BCCI
The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov met with the Ambassador of Hungary in Sofia – H.E. Mrs. Tekla Harangozo. The First Secretary for Commercial Affairs of the Embassy Mr. Tamas Budai also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the upcoming second session of the Intergovernmental Bulgarian – Hungarian Committee on Economic Cooperation, which will take place on 15-16 April 2019 in Budapest, Hungary was discussed. In this regard, a Bulgarian delegation will participate in a business forum and bilateral business meetings in Budapest.
Ambassador Harangozo informed about the current state of the bilateral trade and economic relations between Hungary and Bulgaria. According to the Embassy’s data, the turnover in 2018 amounted to EUR 1.5 billion. Hungarian exports to Bulgaria amounted to EUR 1.1 billion, and Bulgarian exports to Hungary for the same period – to EUR 400 million.
Tsvetan Simeonov praised highly the work of the Hungarian – Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, which will represent BCCI at the upcoming session of the Intergovernmental Committee.
