Entrepreneurs want more legal measures against unfair competition, breach of commercial confidentiality and damages from incorrect employees

The legislative system is not good enough to prevent from property and pecuniary damages and breach of commercial confidentiality. This was indicated in an express poll among members of the Chamber regarding the relations between employers and staff employed. Only 27% of the interviewed employers think that there is fair regulation in this sphere. The major part of the business representatives who have participated in the survey (73%) believe that the legislative system is not good enough to prevent from property and pecuniary damages, and breach of commercial confidentiality by employees.

When asked whether they have searched for any legal vindication in such cases, the vast majority of companies (65%) answered negatively. The complexity of the matter and the slow judicial proceedings make less sense in seeking legal vindication, indicated as an explanation some of the employers surveyed.

The survey showed that barrier to the majority of respondents (76%) is the „outflow“of their trained specialists, whom they have invested resources in to competitive companies. Their concerns are related mainly to the unfair competition.

Most employers (68%) indicated that they have suffered from a disclosure of commercial confidentiality or of property and pecuniary damages from acts of employees. Legislation is not perfect enough after so many companies have had such difficulties. At the same time, the share of the companies stating that they have not encountered such problems is 32%.
