In April 2026, the total production index in services of the business economy increased by 1.5%, compared to the previous month, show National Statistical Institute data published here on July 7. Compared to the same month last year, a growth of 9.3% was registered.
A monthly increase in the following sectors was observed: professional, scientific and technical activities (13.3%), administrative and support service activities (8.4%), and information and communication (1.2%.) A decrease was recorded in real estate activities (18.1%), transportation and storage (1.7%), and accommodation and food service activities (1%).
On an annual basis, rise of production was recorded in the following sectors: administrative and support service activities (26.5%), professional, scientific and technical activities (25.9%), information and communication (8.6%), and transportation and storage - by 3.3%. Decline was registered in real estate activities (7.5%), and accommodation and food service activities (3.2%).
The index decreased by 0.5% in March 2026, compared to February 2026, whereas compared to March 2025, a rise of 7.3% was registered.
