The new Counselor for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of China in Sofia visited BCCI



Song Huiqin, the newly appointed Counselor for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of China in Sofia, met with the President of the BCCI, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov. Hu Shunlu, Second Secretary for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy, also participated in the meeting.

During the conversation, the excellent cooperation between the Embassy’s team and the Chamber, and the work on various initiatives related to increasing the trade turnover and economic benefits for both countries were discussed.

Simeonov acquainted the guests with the 130-year history of BCCI in support of the business and its membership in various international organizations such as Eurochambres, the World Trade Center, the Association of Balkan Chambers, GS1 Bulgaria, and others. The system of 28 regional chambers was also presented. The signed agreement in the field of arbitration between the BCCI and the China Chamber of International Commerce was also mentioned.

An upcoming presentation of the opportunities for economic cooperation with the Chinese city of Yinchuan, with an emphasis on wine production, goji berries, cashmere, food, and other traditional products, as well as a tasting, is scheduled for July 17 this year in Sofia.
