The Bulgarian delegation, led by Deputy Finance Minister Metodi Metodiev, took part in the meeting of the Economic and Development Review Committee (EDRC) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Finance Ministry said. The forum took place on October 21–22 in Paris.

A key focus for Bulgaria was the presentation and discussion of the OECD Economic Outlook of Bulgaria. The report assesses the state of the economy, the financial system, and policies across various sectors, demonstrating Bulgaria's alignment with the core principles of the OECD. The document is of critical importance in the country’s accession process to the organization, as it reflects the progress made, the incorporation of previous recommendations, and the strategic priorities outlined for Bulgaria’s economic development.

The review marks a significant step toward Bulgaria’s ambition of full OECD membership and underscores the country’s positive trajectory toward sustainable economic growth. Such reviews are conducted every two years.

The Bulgarian delegation included representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Labour and Social Policy, Energy, Economy and Industry, Innovation and Growth, Education and Science, Justice, and the National Social Security Institute.
