Bulgaria's energy watchdog DKEVR approved the new, higher prices of electricity, effective as of October 1. The rise is within the forecast – an average of 9.79%.
The clients of CEZ Bulgaria in the Western parts of the country would see the highest hike – by 9.9%. Clients of EVN in Southern and Southeastern Bulgaria would see their bills increase by 9.5%.
“Higher electricity price is just a part of the measures for improving the status of energy sector.” That was stated by the Interim Minister of Economy and Energy Vassil Shtonov.
