Between January and April, Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 12.3 % compared to the same period in 2014.
According to preliminary estimates of the National Statistical Institute (NSI), which were released on 9th July, exports in this period amounted to BGN 9.3 B.
The main trading partners of Bulgaria were Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece, Belgium and France, which accounted for 69.8 % of Bulgarian exports to the EU.
In April, Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 13.2 % compared to the same month in 2014 and amounted to BGN 2.4 B.
Between January and April, Bulgarian imports from the EU increased by 7.6 % compared to the same period in 2014 and amounted to BGN 10.7 B.
The greatest volume of goods was imported from Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain and Greece.
In April, Bulgarian imports from the EU increased by 8.8 % compared to the same month in 2014 and amounted to BGN 2.9 B.
The balance of trade of Bulgaria with the EU between January and April was negative and amounted to BGN 1.4 B.
The greatest increases were registered in Bulgarian exports of unprocessed (raw) materials unsuitable for consumption (excluding fuels) and mineral fuels, oils and similar products, while there was drop in the export of soft and alcoholic drinks and tobacco.
As far as the imports from the EU are concerned, the greatest increases were registered in machines, equipment and transport vehicles, soft and alcoholic drinks and tobacco, while there was drop in the import of mineral fuels, oils and similar products.
