Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in February 2014 remained at the level of the previous month. The domestic prices rose in mining and quarrying industry by 0.8%, in manufacturing a decrease by 0.1% was registered, while in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply the prices did not change.
In manufacturing, compared to the previous month the prices went down in the manufacture of leather and related products and in the manufacture of basic metals by 1.1%, while a price increase was reported in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 1.1%, and in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations by 0.4%.
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in February 2014 decreased by 2.5% compared to the same month of 2013. The domestic prices fell in mining and quarrying industry by 10.1%, in manufacturing by 1.3% and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 3.7%.
In manufacturing compared to February 2013, a price decrease was registered in the manufacture of basic metals by 6.7%, in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 6.1%, and in the manufacture of food products by 4.8%. The price increases were seen in the manufacture of tobacco products by 8.7%, in the manufacture of leather and related products by 7.4% and in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 5.3%.
Total Producer Price Index in Industry in February 2014 decreased by 0.1% compared to the previous month. Higher prices were registered in mining and quarrying industry by 0.4%, in manufacturing the prices fell by 0.2%, while in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply the prices did not change.
In manufacturing, more significant price decreases were seen in the manufacture of basic metals by 1.5%, in the manufacture of leather and related products by 0.7% and in the manufacture of food products by 0.2%.
Total Producer Price Index in February 2014 decreased by 3.3% comparing to the same month of 2013.
In manufacturing, the prices fell by 2.4% as compared to February 2013. More significant price decreases were seen in the manufacture of basic metals by 10.5%, in the manufacture of food products by 4.6% and in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 2.2%, while the producer prices rose in the manufacture of tobacco products by 5.0%, in the manufacture of furniture by 2.2% and in the manufacture of wearing apparel by 1.9%.
