The Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) handed out its Annual Responsible Business Awards for a 12th year in a row on 25 February. The ceremony was held at the Sofia Hotel Balkan.
A total of 77 projects implemented by 55 companies in 2014 were included in this year’s social responsibility (CSR) contest. The jury at the Awards included representatives of the business, the media, Government and non-governmental sector. The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov was a member of the jury.
The winners and the finalists received their awards from Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev, Sofia Deputy Mayor Doncho Barbalow, Depty Environment Minister Pavel Gudzherov, Deputy Labor Minister Galab Donev, Deputy Economy Minister Daniela Vezieva, interim UK Ambassador to Bulgaria Sarah Riley, and BBLF Chairman Iravan Hira.
The ceremony was attended by over 300 guests, including participants in the contests, BBLF members and friends, jury members, diplomats, and media representatives.
The winners were, as follows:
Investor in Community: 1st place - Postbank, 2nd place - Nova Broadcasting Group, 3rd place - ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3.
Investor in Human Capital and Labour Conditions: 1st place – CEZ Bulgaria, 2nd place – Nestle Bulgaria, 3rd place Dundee Precious Metals.
Investor in Knowledge: 1st place – Musala Soft, 2nd place – L’Oreal Bulgaria, 3rd place – Speedy.
Investor in Environment: 1st place – Interimage, 2nd place – Solarity BG, 3rd place – Mobiltel.
Cause-Related Marketing: 1st place – AVON Cosmetics Bulgaria, 2nd place – EKO Bulgaria, 3rd place – Generali Bulgaria.
Overall CSR Policy of Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprise: 1st place – Publicis Group Bulgaria, 2nd place – Eurobet, 3rd place AbbVie.
Engage prize: (for employee participation in a CSR project): TELUS International Europe.
