Per Hour Productivity in Bulgaria Grows Slightly


Per hour labor productivity of a Bulgarian worker amounts to 12.7 leva of the GDP, show the data of the National Statistical Institute. In the first trimester of 2013 the highest productivity rate was measured in industry, where it amounts to 13.5 leva/h. In the sector of services a worker produces 9.7 leva on the average.
The lowest productivity is measured in the agricultural sector – 3.7 leva per hour of work.
In the first trimester of 2013 the GDP share produced by one worker has increased by 0.7 percent set against the same period of the last year. Evidently people are working more efficiently.

The employed in Bulgaria number 3.188 million. In the first trimester they worked a total of 1.3 billion hours.
