The First annual conference outsourcing "How Bulgaria to become a leading outsourcing destination" was held on 3 June in Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan. Mrs. Carrie Halard, CEO of the National Outsourcing Association, UK (National Outsourcing Association, UK), Mr. Krasin Dimitrov, Vice Minister of Economy and Energy, InvestBulgaria Agency's Executive Director Svetoslav Mladenov and Mr. Stefan Bumov, Chairman of the Bulgarian outsourcing association, participated in the conference.
To representatives of leading companies in the sector, Bulgarian and foreign business presented the measures of institutions to promote business development and the current state of the industry in Bulgaria.
Outsourcing industry is one of the most dynamic in Bulgaria over the past 5 years, it is expected to increase to 22% this and next year. Bulgaria is on 3rd place in Europe and occupies the 10th position in the world by number of certified software engineers in the ICT industry and first place in terms of IT certified specialists per capita.
Bulgaria is 2nd in Europe and 5th in the world as the most attractive destination for conducting business process outsourcing. As one of the fastest growing sectors, it is the most attractive to young people in terms of salary and mobility - 40 thousand are employed in the ICT sector, half of them are employed in the "Outsourcing".
