Photovoltaic parks "Zlataritsa" and "Samovodene" are the biggest Korean investment in our country

On 8 March, the photovoltaic parks "Zlataritsa" and "Samovodene" were officially launched. They are the biggest Korean investment in Bulgaria worth EUR 154 million. The launching of the two parks is yet another step towards achieving the country’s goal - 16 % of Bulgaria’s total energy consumption to come from renewable energy sources by 2020.

The installations were set up by two Korean companies - SDN Company and KOSEP.

H. E. Chun Bee-ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Bulgaria was official guest of the event.

The total power of the parks "Zlataritsa" and "Samovodene" is 42 MW and the annual electricity generation is 61 320 MWh, which is enough to supply electricity for about 2000 households.

More than 740 Bulgarian experts and 40 local subcontractors took part in the project implementation.
