In 2008, Tata Group acquired the Jaguar Land Rover businesses from Ford Motor Company.

Tata Consultancy Services has been on the market for over 50 years and has worked for some of the largest international companies. It has over 528 000 employees in 46 countries across the world. The Green Card provided by Invest Sofia grants tailored administrative services on the territory of the Municipality to investors certified under the Investment Promotion Act, as well as to those that meet the requirements for issuance of an investment project certificate under the Investment Promotion Act and its rules for implementation but have not taken advantage of this yet. A special emphasis in the initiative is also placed on startup companies with high-tech activities and services and those expected to create a new product or service for the Bulgarian market.
