Bulgaria and Belarus to increase economic cooperation


A protocol for expanding economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Belarus was signed during the fourth session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

Among the topics discussed at the two-day meeting were the mechanisms for increasing trade between the countries and attracting investments. Among the most promising areas for intensifying economic cooperation were said to be food industry, pharmaceutical industry, electronics and more. Both sides pointed out the successful business cooperation in the sphere of tourism. Bulgaria has already topped the chart for most preferred foreign destination among Belarusians, replacing Turkey as a previous favorite.
