WITTE Automotive invests EUR 10 mln in automotive part plant in Ruse


500 work places will be created in the new automotive part plant in Ruse. The investment is made by the German company "WITTE Automotive", producer of car doorknobs, locks and locking systems. The project includes the construction of four new buildings, each with an area  of 10.000 m2. The Bulgarian subsidiary - "WITTE Automotive Bulgaria" EOOD was certified as an investor class A from the InvestBulgaria Agency.

By the end of 2015 the investment is expected to exceed EUR 10 mln. By then the construction of administrative and manufacturing part,  covering an area of 11.500 m2, should be finished.

The company was founded in 1899 by Ewlad Witte and started as a factory specialized in the manufacture of latches for luggage/suitcases. After WWII, WITTE Automotive began manufacturing door brackets for the automotive industry. The VW Kafer (Beetle) was the first car with a door made by WITTE.

The German company came in Bulgaria in 2009 initially with a small development base with six employees, growing gradually, today it has 200 employees.
