Standard Profil builds a second plant for rubber gaskets for the automotive industry in Stara Zagora
The Turkish company Standard Profil will invest BGN 12 million in building a new factory for rubber gaskets for the automotive industry, informed the CEO Petar Angelov. The plant will be located in Stara Zagora.
The owners have chosen Bulgaria because of the easier logistics to Europe and the good financial results so far. "Turkey is a very large car producer, but the domestic market currently accounts for about 40% of the production of our entire company. Standard Profil extends primarily to foreign markets outside Turkey. Primary advantage of the standard Profil Bulgaria is that our country is in the European Union and is closer to the main markets in Europe – Germany, Poland and the UK," says the CEO.
The new production will be directed mainly to "Opel Astra" of General Motors and also for models of Fiat, Volkswagen, Renault, Daimler Mercedes.
It is expected that in 2015 for the company will work 2,000 employees who are about 1000 now, and the turnover to be doubled to BGN 160 million, informs Angelov. The company is seeking suitable employees that speak English and German for six engineering positions.
