Meeting with the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo

The newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Sofia – H.E. Edon Cana and Leke Daka, Counsellor at the Embassy, visited BCCI and discussed with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov the development of the bilateral trade and economic relations.

Simeonov acquainted his guests with the activities of BCCI – the databases of the Chamber, and the digitized Unified Trade Register and Arbitration Court. He presented them with the Chamber’s publications, including the brochure “Bulgaria in Figures” and the classification “TOP 100 Companies Leading in the Bulgarian Economy”. The President of the Chamber pointed out that BCCI supports the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries.

The parties discussed the development of the bilateral trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Kosovo and concluded that there is untapped potential for cooperation.

Ambassador Cana shared his plans for his term of office in Sofia aiming to strengthen the bilateral relations. The organization of a number of joint initiatives by the end of the year and in 2019 by the Embassy and BCCI was discussed. It was discussed, to organize at a convenient time an exhibition on theme “Kosovo Week in Bulgaria” to present products and companies from Kosovo. In 2019, BCCI is planning to return the visit by organizing a business delegation to Kosovo.
