The Moldovan Ambassador in Sofia and the BCCI Management Discussed the Potential to Develop Bilateral Cooperation
The Vice President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr Vasil Todorov, PhD, held a meeting with H.E. Emil Jacota, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Sofia. Galina Niforu, member of the BCCI Executive Board and Chair of the Bulgarian Association of Wine Exporters, and Viorica Prodan, Second Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Sofia, also participated in the meeting.
The main topic of the conversation were the potential areas for economic cooperation between the two countries. Vasil Todorov emphasised that, in addition to the fields of energy, chemical industry and wine production, there is potential in the transfer of technologies, the transport and logistics sector, partnership between educational institutions and businesses, etc.
Initiatives to promote trade and economic cooperation in the field of wine production were discussed in detail. Galina Niforu proposed events and formats, where to present Moldovan wines, make tastings and hold meetings between producers and traders from both countries.
The BCCI Vice President informed the Ambassador also about the capacities for interaction in the field of technology transfer and noted that the result-oriented approach, when making contacts between inventors, scientific institutions and companies, is particularly suitable.
It was agreed that BCCI and the Embassy of Moldova in Sofia continue their joint efforts to foster bilateral economic relations.
