Dear colleagues and friends,
Traditionally at the end of each year BCCI evaluates what has been done so far and draws up its future plans.
In 2011 the activity of the Chamber was directed again towards defending the interests of its members and clearly expressing their statements to the relevant public institutions and society as a whole. We proposed a number of position papers providing a formula as to the protection of the interests of Bulgarian business circles. We issued more than 22 000 trade documents to companies; we organized 116 delegations, business meetings and forums, setting up contacts and partnerships with businesses from 25 countries. We conducted seminars and trainings in EU programs and projects involving more than 3 500 professionals.
We will continue to fulfill our mission in 2012 as well, driven by the ambition to be a transmission for the best practices of the international experience in technology, standards and innovation. We will enhance our services in connection with the internationalization of SMEs with priority give to fast-growing emerging markets. We will support initiatives to multiply the effect of the existing EU policies for the purpose of the prosperity of our country.
In addition, we will offer effective measures and will require the government to take the relevant decisions to preserve the achievements made so far and to realize sustainable growth.
Regardless of financial, administrative and regulatory obstacles that stand in our way we will stay true to the mission and our traditions and will continue to direct the energy and the innovative spirit of our members for the increase of the public wealth.
We thank the companies which placed their trust in us, which allocated part of their funds to join us members, which donated part of their time to propose their standpoints and initiatives.
Let 2012 be a year characterized by more employment and professional commitments, creative successes, boldness and inspiration.
