Bulgarian woodworking and furniture Industries

The Bulgarian Branch Chamber of Woodworking and Furniture Industries (BBCWFI) in partnership with Inter Expo Center  - Sofia organize annually the international exhibitions WORLD OF FURNITURE & TECHNOMEBEL. Both exhibitions are unique for the Woodworking and Furniture sectors in Bulgaria. The next edition of the exhibitions will be held in the period 26 - 30 March, 2019 in Sofia.

WORLD OF FURNITURE & TECHNOMEBEL 2019 is the Bulgarian place to meet retailers and manufacturers of all kinds of furniture and furniture accessories, technologies and techniques for woodworking and furniture production, materials, fittings, accessories and improved chemical products for surface treatment of wood.

During the exhibitions, BBCWFI organizes a Hosted Buyers Program, which aims to stimulate foreign investments and establish strong links between Bulgarian manufacturers and customers from abroad. As part of the program, BBCWFI invites foreign partners (architects, interior designers, merchants and distributors) to visit the exhibitions and meet with Bulgarian furniture manufacturers.

For this purpose, BBCWFI fully funds:

  • Round-trip airfare
  • 3D/2N accommodation
  • Transfer airport-hotel-airport
  • Entrance card to the venue
  • Year-round matchmaking service
  • English/Bulgarian translation if needed

During the exhibitions, each of the guests has preliminary organized meetings with their potential clients (depending on their interests), and all year round they can count on full  support for finding Bulgarian partners.

Application form  for Hosted Buyers  must be filled in and sent to us at office@timberchamber.com  and iv.todorov@timberchamber.com

The export of furniture in 2017 is valued at USD 700 million and on this indicator Bulgaria ranks 34th in the world. You can see additional information here. Exports to the "Woodworking" sector amounted to EUR 305,422,075. Employees in both sectors are about 45,000, which is 8% of the total number of workers in the country.
