BCCI presented the Annual Awards’2025 for foreign ambassador and trade representative, media and journalist

The awards in the other categories - for enterprises, regional chamber and industry organization, will be determined and presented by the end of January

The BCCI Annual Awards for 2025 for foreign ambassador and trade representative, media and journalist were presented at an official ceremony. The awardees received a bronze statuette “Hermes”, made by sculptor Stavri Kalinov, a plaque and a diploma.

The President of the BCCI, Tsvetan Simeonov, opened the event, recalling the rich history of the Chamber, which began with the Decree of Prince Ferdinand I for its establishment more than 130 years ago.

Among the official guests were the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Bulgaria, H.E. Charalambos Kafkaridis, H.E. Zakia El Midaoui, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Olesia Ilashchuk, Ambassador of Ukraine, H.E. Fleming Stender, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Bulgaria, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, Doncho Barbalov and others.

With a bronze statuette of Hermes and a diploma in the category "Foreign Ambassador for Contribution to Bilateral Economic Relations", the President of the BCCI awarded H.E. Dai Qingli, Ambassador of China to Bulgaria. Ambassador Qingli pointed out that for 11 months of 2025, trade exchange between Bulgarians and China has increased by 20%, as the BCCI and the embassy have worked actively to establish business contacts between 400 companies from both countries.

In the category “Most Active Foreign Trade Representative”, Philipp Kupfer, Trade Counselor at the Embassy of Austria in Bulgaria, was awarded, who pointed out that last year 2,500 consultations and 25 events were held in Bulgaria and Austria, made possible thanks to the good relations with local partners and above all with the BCCI. Dr. Vasil Todorov, Deputy Chairman of the BCCI, presented the award.

In the "Media" category, the award was won by "Nova Broadcasting Group", and the award was presented by the President of the BCCI.

The Deputy Chairman of the BCCI Krasimir Dachev presented the award in the "Journalist" category to Ganiela Angelova, host of the show "The Day ON AIR".

The annual awards in the remaining categories - for enterprises, regional chambers and industry organizations, will be determined and presented by the end of January, about which the Chamber will inform in due time.
