The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) signs New Memorandum of Understanding with the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a new Memorandum of Understanding at BCCI’s headquarters.

Tsvetan Simeonov, President of BCCI, and Karen Ivanov, Vice-President of the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, signed the document in the presence of H.E. Nikolay Nikolov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Armenia, who was one of the initiators of the renewal of the memorandum.

The objective is to promote and strengthen the economic, trade, and investment relations between Bulgaria and Armenia by deepening cooperation between the two chambers and their members, as well as by establishing a joint business council.

Held alongside the signing ceremony, the meeting highlighted Bulgaria's role as a key partner for Armenia and a potential gateway for Armenian products to the EU market. In turn, the Armenian side expressed readiness to support Bulgarian companies looking to expand into Central Asian markets. The discussions focused on concrete steps to deepen bilateral cooperation, such as exchanging business information, organizing delegations, holding B2B meetings, and showcasing Armenian goods.

The possibility of organizing a Bulgarian-Armenian Business Forum in Sofia in April 2027, accompanied by an exhibition of traditional Armenian goods, was also discussed.

BCCI will provide further information regarding upcoming initiatives and the opportunities for the participation of the Bulgarian business.
