In line with the project Storydoers, BCCI will develop a handbook for digitalization of the enterprises in the field of the rural tourism



BCCI participated in a partners’ meeting, dedicated to project Storydoers (Digital Story Doing for Local Tourism), in the city of Caceres, Spain.

The project, which is implemented within the Erasmus+ Programme, aims to promote the digitalization of the SMEs from the rural tourism sector. Six organizations from five countries participate in the consortium - Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy.

The partners presented the already developed 16 short training modules, within the framework of the meeting, which aim to increase the digital skills of the entrepreneurs from the local tourism sector. The modules highlighted various applications and platforms for website optimization, social media management, graphic layout and design, photo and video capture, podcast recording, and more.

The partners discussed the preparation of the next major activity, which includes the development of a handbook with concrete examples of the application of the digital tools described in the training modules. The interactive guide will be directed to entrepreneurs from the local tourism sector - tour operators, owners of family hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, tour guides, mountain guides, transport companies, museums, farms, bakeries, breweries, etc.

After the preparation of the handbook, information seminars will be held, at which the training modules and the manual will be presented to companies and other interested companies, in the field of the rural tourism.

BCCI presented a report on the partner meetings held, the activities implemented, and the results achieved during the first year of the project's implementation.
