Serious interest from Europe and the United States in the Bulgarian electric truck Sevic v500e

Deputy Prime Minister Borislav Sandov examines the Sevic V500e electric truck manufactured at the Milara International factory

Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Water Mr. Borislav Sandov and Minister of Innovation and Growth Mr. Daniel Lorer drove the Sevic V500e electric truck manufactured at the Milara International factory. The two ministers tested the electric vehicle after a conference in the Trakia Economic Zone /TEZ/ near Plovdiv, held on 22 February 2022.

Today we had a productive meeting with Minister Lorer. We have seen that the business in the Trakia Economic Zone is at the forefront of good examples of transformation to a circular, green economy, meeting its own energy needs through the use of innovative approaches. What we saw as TEZs plans and ambitions is what we expect to see from businesses across the country. Climate change creates good conditions for a better state of the environment. We see that with the new approaches, the new processes we can make Bulgaria attractive for businesses, generating new jobs, integrating dual training. I expect at the end of 2022, representatives of TEZ to be part of Bulgaria’s delegation to the UN summit in Egypt, Deputy Prime Minister Borislav Sandov said.

Europe and the United States are showing serious interest in the Bulgarian electric truck Sevic v500e which is certified by the European automobile organization UTAC, seated in France.

The company’s ambition is for the vehicles to be 100% manufactured in Bulgaria and is looking for partners. It plans to manufacture 500 electric trucks this year, and 1000 next year. The price varies between EUR 20,000 and EUR 24,000.
