The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov on "Recharge your career 2024" forum: lack of qualified personnel is harmful to development of the RES industry in our

The President of the BCCI took participation in the second edition of the career forum for development in the RES industry "Recharge your career 2024". The event is organized by Solar Academy Bulgaria in colaboration with M3 Communications Group.

The objectives for which the "Recharge your career" forum is being held are related to the creation of key partnerships between business, education and promising personnel in renewable energy in Bulgaria to achieve the energy and climate goals set for implementation by the European Union by 2030 by creating "green" prospective jobs and career opportunities.

In front of the audience, Tsvetan Simeonov stated that one of the most significant problems of business in our country, including RES, continues to be the lack of qualified personnel:

"At the BCCI, we traditionally examine the threats that businesses see in various negative trends in the market, and one of these studies is precisely about the lack of qualified personnel. There is no sector in Bulgaria that is satisfied with having enough personnel at its disposal. More than half of businessmen see the lack of qualified staff as one of the biggest threats to their business. This phenomenon forces the market to open up to the entry of personnel without the necessary qualifications, which is harmful to society and the RES sector. This is because, firstly, it creates a danger to the customers, secondly, the efficiency falls, thirdly, it leads to insufficient performance of the installations, which will be reflected in defects, the repair of which may cost so much that the investment become irretrievable," said the President of the BCCI.

The career forum "Recharge your career 2024" once again brought together leading experts, successful businesses and young talents from the RES industry, who shared their success stories and discussed current trends and opportunities in the RES sector in our country.

At the end of the forum, Dr. Eng. Veselin Todorov - chairman of the association "Solar Academy Bulgaria" and co-organizer of the forum, initiated the regular discussion, in which aspects of the preparation of specialized personnel for the RES industry at the individual levels of the education system were discussed - secondary both higher and within professional training.
