Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Stara Zagora make a visit in city of Gurkovo, District of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria

The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Stara Zagora (CCI-Sz) Oleg Stoilov and Tony Kutsarov, coordinator, visited the city of Gurkovo. At the working meeting held with the municipality mayor, Kancho Papazov, a program was outlined for expanding and deepening the partnership between the Chamber and the Municipality in the interest of local economic development.

Gurkovo Municipality is an example of good communication between business, local government and the public, which is a prerequisite for sustainable development. It was agreed to organize a working meeting with representatives of local companies to get acquainted with the possibilities for assistance and support from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Stara Zagora, including for partnership in joint projects. The representatives of the Stara Zagora Chamber also met with Mr. Dimitar Drachev, chairman of the municipal council of Gurkovo, who is well aware of the activities of the CCI - Sz and the needs of local business, will assist in the closer partnership.

Oleg Stoilov and Tony Kutsarov visited Bulmetal AD - the largest employer in the municipality and met with the executive director Vanya Dimitrova. With its unique production of a wide range of metal packaging, the company is a leader in Bulgaria and occupies an increasingly large market share abroad, where it exports over 70% of its production. The company also has a lot of experience in solving the problem of the lack of workers by importing them from abroad - from Ukraine, and recently from Nepal. Mrs. Dimitrova shared the problems with the difficult and slow work with the various administrations and our embassy in India, for which Mr. Stoilov promised to assist.
