Border crossing points at which the Green Corridors for delivery of goods will pass are defined

The Council of Ministers has defined the border crossing points on Bulgarian territory at which vehicles transporting goods will be allowed to pass freely. The plan for securing Green Corridors along the European road network was proposed by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rossen Jeliazkov. It complies with the guidelines of the European Commission as of 16 March 2020.

At the border with Greece, the main border crossing points are Kulata and Kapitan Petko Voivoda, and Ilinden as a reserve. The main points with Romania are at Vidin and Rousse, while the reserve points are Oryahovo and Silistra.

Crossing points have also been defined with the countries of the Western Balkans and Turkey, for which the European Union has also taken measures for a coordinated approach. Kalotina border checkpoint was defined between Bulgaria and Serbia, Kapitan Andreevo border crossing point to Turkey and Gyueshevo border crossing point to the Republic of Northern Macedonia.

Crossing at these Green Corridor points, including any checks and health checks on transport workers, should not exceed 15 minutes at inland land borders. Green corridor border crossings must be open to all load vehicles carrying any type of goods.
