Working Meeting with Representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Connection with the Forthcoming Joint Bulgarian-Chinese Business Forum on 15 September in Sofia


BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov held a working meeting with Kong Linyu, Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of China in Sofia, and Wang Shensi and Xin Linlin, representatives of the Economic and Commercial Affairs Department of the Embassy.

The purpose of the working meeting was to discuss the forthcoming Bulgarian-Chinese Business Forum to be held on 15 September 2025 (Monday) at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sofia.

The event is prepared by BCCI with the assistance of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Bulgaria and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Sofia on the occasion of holding the 18th session of the Bulgarian-Chinese Intergovernmental Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation.

The representatives of the Chinese Embassy announced that the official delegation will be led by Mr Lin Dzi, Deputy Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, who will be accompanied by representatives of over 30 Chinese companies from the following sectors: production of photovoltaic systems and energy storage systems, finances, production of electric vehicles, supply of electric vehicle components, buying up agricultural products, managing e-commerce platforms, logistics, as well as production of household appliances and electrical appliances.

Tsvetan Simeonov shared that China is an important trade partner of Bulgaria in Asia and occupies a leading place both in export and in the import to and from the markets of third countries. Further, the interlocutors also discussed some logistical issues related to preparing and holding the event.
