At the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), a Bulgarian – Russian Investment Forum took place. The event brought together more than 100 representatives of the Bulgarian and Russian business. H.E. Anatoly Makarov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Bulgaria, Mr. Aleksandar Manolev, Deputy Minister of Economy, Mr. Stamen Yanev, Executive Director of Invest Bulgaria Agency, the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, the President of the Bulgarian – Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Mr. Georgi Minchev, and the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation - Mr. Vladimir Padalko, took part in the official part of the forum.
In his opening speech, Tsvetan Simeonov welcomed the great interest in economic cooperation of the businesses from the two countries. The BCCI President expressed his satisfaction with the intensification of the partnership relations between the participating companies, which was evidenced by the 5 cooperation agreements signed during the Forum between Bulgarian and Russian companies, and the Memorandum of Understanding signed between BCCI and International Bank for Economic Cooperation – Moscow.
The Bulgarian – Russian Investment Forum continued with presentations of the Russian companies and the invited public institutions, and ended with B2B meetings during which the participants had the opportunity to establish business connections with potential partners from the represented sectors.
