	The newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic H.E. Mr. Manuel Korček met with the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov. Mr. Viktor Petrasovsky, Second Secretary at the Embassy of Slovakia also took part in the meeting.
	Tsvetan Simeonov noted the extremely good relations with the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, both at bilateral and multilateral level, within the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) and the World Chambers Federation (WCF). He presented the activities of BCCI and informed about its achievements in the field of issuance of electronic Certificates of Origin, maintenance of a bilingual electronic Trade Register, organisation of specialised exhibitions, and the work of the fully digitalised Arbitration Court.
	Ambassador Korček said that one of the goals of his mission is to assist and support the contacts between businesses from the two countries, and to facilitate the exchange of useful information. He pointed out that both the economies of Bulgaria and Slovakia have been growing, which is a prerequisite for more active cooperation and fuller utilisation of this great potential.
	Future joint initiatives and events in 2018 were discussed in sectors of mutual interest: automotive industry, heavy industry, energy, digital services, e-Government, e-healthcare, etc.
