Вusiness delegation, organized by the BCCI, participated in Bulgarian business forum in Astana, Kazahstan
The business delegation, organized by the BCCI, accompanying the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Mrs. Lilyana Pavlova during her visit to Kazahstan within the fourth session of the Bulgaria-Kazakhstan inter-governmental commission on economic cooperation between 8th and 10th June, 2016.
The business delegation, headed by Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, President of the BCCI, took part in the Kazahstan-Bulgaria Business Forum in Astana. The host of the event was the National Agency on Export and Investments – KAZNEX INVEST. The forum was officially opened by the Vice-Minister of Investments and Development Mr. Yerlan Khairov.
The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Mrs. Lilyana Pavlova made an address to the participants. She shared her views that the friendly relations between Bulgaria and Kazahstan have not only long-term tradition, but also excellent perspective. In her opinion the Bulgarian business takes keen interest in Kazahstan and cherishes the hope of initiation of a platform for the Bulgarian companies from different sectors through which they can find new markets for their products or partners for establishment of joint ventures.
The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works gave as an example of efficient cooperation between Bulgarian and Kazahstan businesses the partnership between “Stroitelna Mehanizatzia” AD – Kazanluk and “Kazakhmys Energy” Ltd.. The Bulgarian company, whose representative participated in the business delegation, designed and developed all kinds of machines and equipment, necessary for the rehabilitation of pipes through the application of non-excavation technology, and the implementation of the project was awarded with the Prize “Without Excavation” by the International Society of Non-Excavation Technologies.
The President of the BCCI, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, presented the investment and business environment in Bulgaria, the stimuli of the Bulgarian government for attraction of foreign investments. He focused on the activities of the BCCI – the services, rendered by the Chamber in benefit of the business, irrespective of the nationality of the investor.
A Memorandum of Understanding between the BCCI and KAZNEX INVEST was signed with the purpose of improvement of the competitiveness of the business in Bulgaria and Kazahstan and building up of a basis for closer trade partnership between the companies, members of the organizations.
Between the Bulgarian and Kazahstan companies were organized many bilateral meetings, which are preliminary basis for further cooperation.
