BCCI participated in initiatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe


From 1 to 3 September 2015, the Vice-President of BCCI Georgi Stoev participated in two initiatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). In Geneva, at the Palais des Nations both the High-level International Conference on Unlocking the Economic Potential for Sustainable Development and the Ninth Session of the Committee on Innovation, Competitiveness and Public-Private Partnerships (CICPPP) were held.

Discussions focused on the potential of trade, especially trade in agricultural products, in support of the implementation of UN goals for sustainable development. And that was placed in the context of an effective, transparent and  barrier-free trading environment and good business practices.

The Conference participants also discussed mechanisms for the implementation of innovative policies and public-private partnerships for sustainable economic growth.

During the Conference in Geneva, the Vice-President of BCCI, Georgi Stoev, met with the Deputy Ministers of Economy of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan - Alexander Zaborovski and Kylychbek Djakypov. They discussed the possibilities of cooperation with the system of BCCI and the Regional Chambers, the organization of business delegations, joint business meetings and seminars.
