After the Turkish lira collapsed - Mr Tsvetan Simeonov in an interview for Nova TV: Trade between Bulgaria and Turkey will be more balanced


Turkish agricultural products will be even cheaper. Furthermore, they have the advantage that the season started a little bit earlier, and there are fruits and vegetables that mature earlier. It is expected that the goods imported from Turkey will mark certain growth due to their lower prices (in terms of volumes). Probably, at the end of the day trade between the two countries will be more balanced.’ This is what the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr Tsvetan Simeonov in an interview for the Nova TV News.

The commodity turnover between Bulgaria and Turkey is very serious – beginning from food products, through construction materials and coming to electrical appliances. Statistics show that Turkey occupies the fourth place in Bulgarian exports; last year their worth was more than 2 billion Euros. Imports, on the other part, had the worth of 1 billion and 906 million Euros
