Bulgarian-Iraqi relations are favourable and in favour of Bulgarian business

 

Mr Dimitar Ugrinov, until now the Head of the Regional Section for Economic and Commercial Affairs in Erbil, Iraq, visited BCCI and met with the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr Tsvetan Simeonov, at the occasion of the end of his mandate. Mr Ugrinov informed about the results of his work during his four-year stay in Erbil.

In his opinion, the economic relations between Iraq and Bulgaria are at present favourable and in favour of Bulgarian business; consequently, the potential of bilateral trade and investment should be utilised. He also presented the awards received from the Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan, from the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iraqi Kurdistan and from the Regional Government, for his contribution to the development of the bilateral economic relations.

The meeting was attended also by Mr Vasil Vasilev, who will continue the work of Dimitar Ugrinov abroad. Mr Tsvetan Simeonov recalled the potential of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and made a commitment to collaborate in establishing and deepening the economic relations between Bulgarian and Iraqi companies.
