The first autumn event of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France – Bulgaria



The first event in a series of autumn meetings organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France – Bulgaria (CCIFB) was welcomed with interest by the Bulgarian business community.

The event was held under the auspices of the Ambassador of France to Bulgaria H.E. Mrs. Florence Robine. Among the official guests were the Vice-President of the Republic of Bulgaria Mrs. Iliyana Yotova, the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov, the Executive Director of Invest Bulgaria Agency Stamen Yanev, representatives of Bulgarian and French companies - members and partners of the bilateral chamber.

CCIFB presented its new members, as well as expectations on the business environment in the country by the end of this year and in 2022.

French companies in Bulgaria want to expand their presence in the country. The French business is interested in investments in infrastructure, industry and services. The President of CCIFB Stephane Delahaye reminded that two new French companies established their presence in Bulgaria – Meridiem investment fund, a 49% participant in the Sof Connect consortium, selected as a 35 + 15 concessionaire at Sofia Airport and the French company BIC that officially launched its global account, HR and software service center in Sofia. Bulgaria should keep its talents and bring Bulgarians abroad back in the country so that French businesses can rely on skilled experts here, Stephane Delahaye also said in his welcome speech.

Tsvetan Simeonov held a conversation with the CCIFB President Stephane Delahaye and stressed that the BCCI is working to help companies operating in the country to function normally despite the difficult epidemiological and economic situation. Special attention was paid to the bilateral investment process and the desire to strengthen the partnership between the two organizations was confirmed.
