Over 20 business representatives attended the BCCI’s Constituent Assembly for the establishment of the Bulgarian-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry /BACCI/. The meeting was officially opened by Dimitar Bratanov, President of Sport Service Group LTD. He highlighted the potential of the Republic of Azerbaijan in energy and infrastructure projects and stressed the need to establish a joint chamber, which is to be a major logistic and lobbying centre for the Bulgarian entrepreneurs with business interests in Azerbaijan. Some strands of mutual interest were subject to discussion, such as infrastructure, transport corridors, tourism, real estate, communications, education etc.
Dimitar Bratanov, President of Sport Service Group, was elected President of the Board of Directors of the BACCI. He expressed gratitude to the BCCI for the fruitful cooperation defining the Chamber as the main motive power for the establishment of the BACCI.
