On June 18 a new factory was opened in the industrial zone of Rakovsky. ABB has chosen the city for its second major investment in this area of Bulgaria. The factory will operate in a total area of 16,000 square meters, and it is planned to create about 600 jobs. The new plant is going to produce low and medium voltage products. Over 800 employees work for the company in Bulgaria.
"ABB" Ltd. was awarded for the overall business at the annual awards "Investor of the year 2013”.
The president of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev was honored guest at the opening ceremony.
