Representatives of the World Turkish Business Council visited BCCI


Representatives of the World Turkish Business Council (DTIK) visited BCCI and met with the Chamber’s Secretary General Vasil Todorov. He discussed with Ömer Süsli, Administrative Board Member and Chairman of the Balkans Region Committee, the cooperation between the business organizations from Bulgaria and Turkey. Okan Pakbeşe and Sinem Taştan, Commercial Counsellors at the Turkish Embassy in Bulgaria, and Edis Emre, President of the Bulgarian – Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BULTİŞAD) also took part in the meeting.

The World Turkish Business Council, which is a non-governmental organization, was established within the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK).

The Secretary General of BCCI Vasil Todorov pointed out that the Chamber maintains traditionally good relations with its Turkish partners from the chambers of commerce and industry. He presented the regional and branch structure of the Chamber and the wide range of services it provides to its members.

Ömer Süsli explained that he was responsible for a total of 11 Balkan countries, which are Turkey’s extremely important economic partners. Joint initiatives to promote economic and investment activities between Turkey and its neighboring countries are at the center of DTIK’s activities. The organization works to attract Bulgarian investors to Turkey and is able to provide the necessary support in this regard.

The Commercial Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy in Sofia Okan Pakbeşe noted the intensive cooperation with BCCI and informed that a bilateral business forum is expected to be held in Bulgaria early next year. BCCI will provide information about the event additionally.
