Delegation of GS1 Bulgaria took part in GS1 European Regional Forum in Ljubljana

The annual meeting of the national GS1 organizations from Europe was held in the period 22 – 25 October 2018 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The Regional Forum programme included trainings and workshops on the implementation of the GS1 standards in healthcare; transport and logistics; technical industry; traceability; fight against illicit trade; GS1 Cloud, etc.

During the plenary session panels, the work of GS1 Europe was presented, together with the prospects for the national GS1 organizations, innovation and future trends.

GS1 Bulgaria participated in the forum with a delegation led by Tsvetan Simeonov, President of GS1 Bulgaria and President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and including GS1 Bulgaria Board Members and experts. GS1 Bulgaria health expert Desislava Dimitrova presented to the national GS1 organizations the progress in the health sector in Bulgaria with regard to the FMD (Falsified Medicine Directive).
