During a meeting between the Secretary General of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Vasil Todorov and the Manager of the EU – Philippines Business Network Mark Henke, possibilities for cooperation between the two organizations were discussed.
Vasil Todorov presented the role of BCCI as a business and employers’ organization in support of Bulgarian and foreign companies. He stressed that the lack of sufficient information about the Philippine market is an obstacle to overcome in order to achieve closer interaction between companies from both countries.
Mark Henke presented the organization in the Philippines, which was established 5 years ago by leading European chambers of commerce and industry operating in this region. In the course of discussion, the following areas of mutual interest were identified: food industry and dairy industry in particular, IT and outsourcing, machine-building.
Vasil Todorov and Mark Henke also signed a Cooperation Agreement between the two organizations whose main goal is to outline the specific steps that need to be taken to improve the bilateral exchange of business information, to promote the business relations between companies from Bulgaria and the Philippines, to present the positive aspects of the economies of the two countries, and to strengthen the economic cooperation.
