  Development of the water sector in the context of the Bulgarian – Hungarian relations
  
    
   
    
	The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a business forum organized by the Hungarian – Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with BCCI and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event focused on the management and condition of the water resources in Bulgaria and Hungary.
	The forum was officially opened by the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov, who provided information about the relations between Bulgaria and Hungary and said that joining forces in the economic sectors will lead to a deeper development of the bilateral ties. Simeonov confirmed the importance of the water sector for the development of the economy and wished the forum participants success and fruitful results.
	The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Sofia – H.E. Mrs. Tekla Harangozó said that it is the responsibility of everyone to preserve the richness of the waters. She presented the Hungarian Government’s initiatives for promoting investment in the water sector and sharing know-how.
	During the forum, experts in the sector discussed the situation in both countries, shared knowledge and solutions in the management and treatment of drinking water.
	Opportunities for financing projects in the water sector were presented by Balázs Koczka, Chief Relationship Manager at EXIM Bank.
	Dr. Rossen Tkatchenko, President of the Hungarian – Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, stressed the need for uniting forces and cooperation between Bulgarian and Hungarian businesses.
