Information event under the STRONG project enjoyed great interest

An information event under the STRONG project, funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, was held online with more than 30 participants. The event was opened by the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov, who noted the importance of the support provided under the programme “Social Dialogue - Decent Working Conditions”  to improve the process of tripartite cooperation in Bulgaria. The participants were also greeted by Ventseslava Yanchovska, Honorary Consul General of the Kingdom of Norway in Bulgaria, who described the BCCI as a valuable partner and organization with many years of experience in implementing projects aimed at improving cooperation between the participants in the tripartite dialogue - employers, trade unions and government.

The meeting continued with the presentation of good practices in voluntary dispute resolution, drawing a parallel between examples from Norway, Ireland, France and Poland. Later on, the main points of the handbook “Voluntary dispute resolution - negotiations, mediation, conciliation and arbitration and resolution of collective labour disputes” developed under the project were reviewed.

The STRONG project started at the end of last year and is implemented by the BCCI as a leading organization, in partnership with the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) and the Norwegian - Bulgarian Business Group (NBBG). The main goal of the project is to strengthen the social dialogue policies and practices in Bulgaria, and to improve the tripartite dialogue and consultations at national, regional and local level
