The EU-Ukraine Association Agreement will have a positive impact on the bilateral trade

On 18th November 2013 foreign ministers of the EU countries are expected to come to a decision on signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. The signing of the Agreement could take place during the Summit between the EU and the Eastern Partnership, which will be held in Vilnius on 28th – 29th November 2013.

The prior estimates are that the trade agreements between the EU and Ukraine will have a positive impact on the bilateral trade between Bulgaria and Ukraine, and that it is important for the Bulgarian exporters to benefit from the trade liberalization with Ukraine.

In this regard, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry informed its members about the expected changes, including duties on the leading industrial and agricultural goods in Bulgaria’s export to Ukraine.
