BCCI suggested opening a Bulgarian Commercial Service Office in Turkmenistan to support business

The President of the newly established Bulgarian-Turkmen Chamber of Industry and Commerce Georgi Agafonov met with the Management of the BCCI.  They discussed important issues and potential possibilities for further development of the bilateral trade and economic relations.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were identified as an important precondition for expanding economic ties. Georgi Agafonov shared some problems that businessmen face in obtaining visas to the Asian country.

Unfortunately, there is no functioning Bulgarian Commercial Service abroad that may support and facilitate our business relations with Turmenistan.

The idea to create a Bulgarian Trade House in Ashgabat, respectively a Turkmen Trade House in Sofia, was discussed at the meeting.

Subject to discussion was also the Bulgarian participation in the upcoming Sixth Turkmenistan Business Investment Conference, which is going to take place on 1st and 2nd October 2014 in Avaza.
