According to preliminary data the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, increased by 0.2% in July 2014 as compared to June 2014.
In July 2014 working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 0.2% in comparison with the same month of 2013.
Monthly comparisons
In July 2014 as compared to June 2014, the seasonally adjusted Industrial Production Index increased in the manufacturing by 2.0% and in the mining and quarrying industry by 1.5% while in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply a decrease by 0.6% was seen.
The most significant increases of production in the manufacturing were registered in the manufacture of other transport equipment by 27.4%, in the manufacture of tobacco products by 23.4%, in the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products by 5.8%, in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations by 5.3%, in the manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and plaiting materials by 5.2%. There was a decrease in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 10.2%, in the wearing apparel by 2.1%, in the manufacture of leather and related products by 1.7%.
Annual comparisons
On annual basis in July 2014 Industrial Production Index, calculated from working day adjusted data decreased in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 11.9% and in the mining and quarrying industry by 0.9%, while in the manufacturing an increase by 3.9% was seen.
In the manufacturing, the more significant increases compared to the same month of the previous year were seen in the manufacture of other transport equipment by 43.5%, in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 19.8%, in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 18.5%, in the manufacture of rubber and plastic products by 17.8%, in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 16.5%.Decreases were registered in the manufacture of tobacco products by 5.7%, in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 4.7%, in the manufacture of wearing apparel by 4.5%.
