Bulgaria's Kristalina Georgieva was appointed EC Vice President for Budget and Human Resources.
The final list with the names of the new European Commissioners was published on the site of the Commission shortly before the start of the news conference at which Jean-Claude Juncker presented his team.
Commenting on the appointment of the seven Vice Presidents, Juncker has described Kristalina Georgieva, Alenka Bratushek (in charge of the Energy Union) and Mogherini (incoming High Representative) as "three strong and competent women".
Shortly after the portfolios were unveiled, Georgieva told reporters she would now be in charge of the EU's 140-billion-euro annual budget and of 30 000 people working at different directorates of the Commission.
She added her first task was to seek additional financing for this year to deliver on current bills and also to work toward the adoption of 2015's fiscal plan.
"For all Europeans, and this also means for Bulgarians, it is very important how efficiently Europe's money is being used. Our country has more to catch up with and to us it is even more important. I am confident from this position I will be able to provide more assistance to Bulgaria in solving its biggest problem, which is not to get more money, but to make use of what we already have," the Bulgarian National Radio quoted her as saying.
