Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce Joins European Federation of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce
The Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce has officially become a member of the European Federation of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce (EFBCC), an international organization founded in Geneva in 2017 that brings together dozens of bilateral chambers of commerce with the aim of promoting economic ties and investment between European countries.
The membership in EFBCC will give the Chamber access to a strategic network of partners, events and initiatives, helping to expand bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.
Maxim Behar, Chair of the Chamber's Executive Council, commented that this is a significant step towards developing the Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce. "The EFBCC membership will provide an opportunity to showcase Bulgarian and Czech companies within a broader European context, strengthening our position as reliable business partners - a notable achievement for a chamber that has only existed for a year," Behar said. In his words, the EFBCC aims to create a common platform for the exchange of experience and good practice between bilateral chambers in Europe, supporting the development of projects related to investment, innovation, sustainable development and international trade.
The Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce was founded in Sofia at the end of October 2024 by a group of Bulgarian companies with long-standing ties to and interests in the Czech Republic. Today, the Chamber has nearly 50 member companies from various sectors of the economy, and this number continues to grow steadily.
