The Total Producer Price Index in Industry in October 2021 increased by 3.8% compared to the previous month. The prices rose in the mining and quarrying industry by 8.8%, in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 6.4%, and in the manufacturing by 2.5%.
Higher prices in the manufacturing were registered in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 6.8%, manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and plaiting materials by 6.2% and in the manufacture of basic metals by 3.1%. A decrease in the prices was seen in the other manufacturing by 0.5%, and in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 0.1%.
The Total Producer Price Index in October 2021 rose by 24.1% compared to the same month of 2020. The prices went up in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 47.0%, in the manufacturing by 17.4%, and in the mining and quarrying industry by 14.3%.
In manufacturing, a more compelling increase in prices was reported in the manufacture of basic metals by 47.5%, in the manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and plaiting materials by 25.6%, and in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 24.0%.
Prices fell in the manufacture of tobacco products by 0.4%, and in the manufacture of leather and related products by 0.3%.
